Dear Diary,

Will I ever escape the perpetual doghouse that I am continually cast into as the Vice President? I hate to sound like such a martyr, but here I am doing good things for our country, and the media just wants to turn anything I say or do into a “Biden Blunder. ” Well, I’ll tell you, I am sick and tired of having everything I say become scrutinized out of context. I hate to say it, but I’m beginning to have a little sympathy for George Bush. Maybe he’s not the idiot we all thought he was. Ok, that’s going too far. We know Bush is an idiot. But why would I ever be compared to him?! It’s just embarrassing, that’s what it is.

First of all, my “We’re at war!” comment was totally taken out of context. Second of all, I don’t see why I have to make it such a secret that I’m visiting countries in the Middle East. If anything, Americans should be glad to hear that I’m doing something. I know they were beginning to wonder if the Vice President title was such a façade. Not to mention, anybody can tell you that there’s a lot going on over there, so I should be there paving new roads for this administration! And if their worried about me giving away where I am, let me tell you. Pakistan and Afghanistan are big countries. Saying that I’m going to a country doesn’t say all that much about my location. I just wish people would recognize this….
